BlockHaven Support

Help with HealthMemory for Mac, Genesis, Haven and your membership.

About BlockHaven

BlockHaven is a new foundation for health, built around the individual. It has three parts.

HealthMemory holds a living understanding of you, owned by you and encrypted under a key BlockHaven does not have. The Health Intelligence Network connects many HealthMemories, only by consent, with no institution at the center. Project Salutome maps what is known about health, with each connection traced to its evidence.

None of it centralizes your data. BlockHaven does not sell your health data or use it for advertising or AI training.

Today you can use HealthMemory for Mac with Haven inside it, Genesis on the web, and Premium or Premium Plus membership. BlockHaven Inc. is a Delaware corporation.

Getting started

What is HealthMemory?

HealthMemory is the free app that keeps your health information and Haven on your Mac. Your HealthMemory is encrypted on your device and in its backup. Genesis is sold separately and is not included in the free app.

Which Macs does it run on?

A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. Haven needs 16 GB of memory or more. On a Mac with less, everything else in HealthMemory works.

Download it with Download for Mac in the menu at the top of this page.

Where is HealthMemory available?

In the United States only, for now. Setup checks the country of your internet connection. Outside the United States, setup stops and nothing is set up.

What is a Health ID?

Your Health ID is how BlockHaven knows it’s you. It is made from your 12-word recovery phrase and protected by your device’s lock. You don’t give a name, email address, phone number or date of birth to create one.

Why a passkey?

A passkey takes the place of a username and password. You create it with Touch ID or your Mac password during setup. It stays in Passwords or the app that saved it, and BlockHaven never gets it.

What happens during setup?

You create your passkey. By continuing, you agree to the Terms of Service. Haven chat and Genesis use AI, so they need your consent. It's a separate tick box when you set up the app, and you can leave it unticked.

Then choose Mint Health ID to create your Health ID, write down your 12-word recovery phrase, confirm it and finish setup.

Privacy and security

Who can read my HealthMemory?

Only you. Your HealthMemory is end-to-end encrypted, on your device and in its cloud backup, with a key made on your device. BlockHaven cannot read it, including the backup copy it stores for you.

What can BlockHaven see?

BlockHaven sees what it needs to run the service: your Health ID, which carries no name, the devices you use, and the size and timing of your encrypted backup. It does not see what is inside. Payment records are not linked to your HealthMemory.

Does my data go to outside AI providers?

Only with your consent. Haven chat, Genesis and visit preparation may send a minimized excerpt of your health data to third-party AI providers, limited to what each request needs. Direct identifiers, such as your name, dates and ID numbers, are removed automatically before sending. Automated removal may be incomplete.

Can I turn that off?

Yes. In HealthMemory for Mac, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, turn off Share with AI providers and choose Withdraw. Haven chat, Genesis and visit preparation then turn off. Nothing is deleted.

What happens to records I send to Genesis?

Genesis processes the records and documents you choose on BlockHaven servers. They are deleted within a day after BlockHaven receives them, whether or not processing finishes. A finished record waiting for your device is kept encrypted, in a form BlockHaven cannot open, for up to 30 days. Their contents are not logged.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and as an encrypted backup on BlockHaven’s systems, which are hosted in the United States.

Does BlockHaven sell or share my health data?

No. BlockHaven does not sell your health data or use it for advertising or AI training. It shares the contents of your HealthMemory only when you direct it to, and it cannot open them. Read the Privacy Notice for the details.

Recovery

What is the 12-word recovery phrase?

You get it during setup. Write the words down and keep them somewhere safe and offline. They are the only way to take back your HealthMemory if a device is lost or stolen.

How do I restore my HealthMemory on a new Mac?

Use the same Apple ID as before on the new Mac, and make sure iCloud is syncing your passwords. When you open HealthMemory, it finds your Health ID and shows Your Health ID is already set up. Choose Enter my 12 words, or Use a recovery kit.

If it doesn’t find your Health ID, choose Already have a Health ID? Restore it on the welcome screen, then Enter my 12 words.

What is iCloud recovery?

iCloud recovery keeps a second part of your recovery in iCloud. Together with your 12 words, it restores your HealthMemory on a new Mac. To see whether it is on, open Settings, then Privacy & Security.

Pause it if you think someone else can get into your Apple ID or one of your devices. Your recovery phrase still works while it is paused, and you need the phrase to resume.

What is a recovery kit?

A file with your recovery phrase, encrypted with a passphrase you choose. To make one, open Settings, then Backup & Recovery, choose Save Recovery Kit… and enter your 12 words. On a new Mac, choose Use a recovery kit instead of typing the words.

If HealthMemory says a kit you saved is older than your current recovery setup, save a new one and delete the old file.

What if iCloud recovery isn’t available?

If HealthMemory can’t find the part in iCloud, it may offer Recover with my 12 words alone (after a waiting period). Your devices and your recovery contacts are told the wait started, and it can be stopped at any time before it ends.

When the wait is over, enter your 12 words again. Finish within a day after the wait ends, or start again.

What if I lose my 12 words?

A recovery kit you saved restores exactly what the phrase restores. Without the words or a kit, your HealthMemory can’t be restored on a new device. BlockHaven cannot read your HealthMemory, so it can’t restore it for you.

Genesis

What is Genesis?

Genesis starts your HealthMemory from the medical history you already have. It organizes and reconciles your records and shows where they disagree or have gaps. It is a starting point from your medical records, not a full health history.

Genesis does not diagnose, does not give medical advice, and does not direct your care.

How much does Genesis cost?

$149 launch price through November 30. $399 from December 1. A founding purchase of Premium or Premium Plus includes one Genesis. See Genesis.

Which records can Genesis use?

PDFs, a clinical summary (C-CDA), the .zip export from your patient portal, and text files. Photos of documents work only in HealthMemory for Mac.

Now connects to Epic MyChart at supported health systems. In Genesis on the web, choose Connect a portal. In HealthMemory for Mac, open History and choose Connect a patient portal. Then search for your clinic by name. Epic and MyChart are trademarks of Epic Systems Corporation.

What is a Genesis ticket?

Your proof of purchase. After you buy, save it with Download or Copy ticket and keep it somewhere safe.

BlockHaven can’t see your ticket, so it can’t be recovered if it’s lost. That is how your payment stays unlinked from your HealthMemory.

How long do I have to start?

Start within 12 months of purchase. You can start right after you buy, or later at blockhaven.ai/genesis/start. A Genesis bought in that browser shows up there on its own. Otherwise, paste your ticket.

In HealthMemory for Mac, you can also open History, choose Add your history, then Bought on the web? Paste your ticket.

What does holding a record mean?

When Genesis finishes, your readable results stay on the results page for a limited time. Choose Hold it for later to keep your finished record, encrypted, for 30 days.

You choose a 6-digit PIN, then Save claim ticket saves a claim ticket with a claim ID and a claim code.

What are the claim code and PIN for?

Together they open your held record in HealthMemory. The PIN isn’t on the ticket, so keep both. BlockHaven can’t recover the record for you.

In HealthMemory for Mac, open History, choose Add your history, then Have a held record? Collect it, or choose File > Collect a Held Record…. Enter the claim ID and claim code, or choose Open claim ticket file. Then enter your PIN.

Too many wrong PINs lock the record for 24 hours, and more wrong PINs after that lock it for good. You can then run Genesis again.

Can I get a refund?

Full refund if your Genesis run fails, or within 14 days of purchase if it has not started. The full rules are in the refund policy.

Haven

What is Haven?

Haven is the companion inside HealthMemory. You ask about your health in plain language, by typing or by voice, and Haven answers from what is in your HealthMemory. With nothing in your HealthMemory yet, it has nothing of yours to answer from.

What can’t Haven do?

HealthMemory and Haven provide information. They do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they do not monitor your health or contact emergency services.

In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.

How do I talk to Haven?

In HealthMemory for Mac, choose Talk or press Shift-Command-L, and ask your question. Haven listens until you choose Stop, and Talk turns off after 2 minutes of quiet. Haven turns your speech into text on your Mac, and your voice stays on your Mac.

Haven reads its answer aloud when you ask by voice. Turn off Read answers aloud to see answers without hearing them. Speak while Haven is talking to interrupt it. If HealthMemory says your Mac stops listening while Haven speaks, use headphones to interrupt.

Membership

What plans are there?

HealthMemory is free. Premium is $280 a year and Premium Plus is $350 a year (memberships that start on or after January 1, 2027: $560 a year). Memberships are billed once a year.

A founding purchase of Premium or Premium Plus includes one Genesis, to start within 12 months of purchase. Renewals and free years don’t. Premium Plus is first to get each new capability the network adds. See membership.

What is the Founding 500?

While the Founding 500 lasts, pay for your first year of Premium or Premium Plus, and Premium is free for life after it. Founding pricing ends when all 500 are taken. Each founding member gets a numbered membership. The full offer terms are in the Terms of Service.

How do I add my membership code?

In HealthMemory for Mac, open Settings, then Membership. Type the code into Enter a code and choose Add.

If it’s the invitation code from your email, claim it at blockhaven.ai/founding/claim first, then enter the activation code you receive.

How do I change or cancel my membership?

Open blockhaven.ai/membership/manage and enter the activation code from your purchase. Our payment processor provides the page where you change or cancel.

Deleting your HealthMemory

How do I delete my HealthMemory?

In HealthMemory for Mac, open Settings, then Delete, and choose Delete my HealthMemory. Confirm it’s you with Touch ID or your Mac password, confirm with your passkey, then type DELETE.

If your device can’t approve the deletion on its own, your 12-word recovery phrase approves it instead. You can also read the Privacy Notice.

What is deleted, and when?

Your HealthMemory is deleted 72 hours after you confirm. Until then, you can cancel in Settings or from the banner in the app, with your passkey or your recovery phrase. Another device that uses this HealthMemory shows the deletion the next time it tries to back up, and you can cancel there too.

BlockHaven’s servers delete your encrypted backup, your recovery setup, your list of devices, your passkey’s registration and your shares. On the device you delete from, HealthMemory removes your health data and documents, your Genesis history, what Haven has learned about you and your Haven conversations.

This can’t be undone. BlockHaven keeps a record that the deletion was carried out for 24 months. It contains no health information. The HealthMemory passkey stays in your passwords until you remove it.

Troubleshooting

The passkey step didn’t finish

If you canceled it, choose Try again when you’re ready. If HealthMemory says this device couldn’t finish the passkey step, try again.

HealthMemory can’t reach BlockHaven

Check your internet connection and try again. A membership code you enter while offline is saved and sent automatically when you’re connected.

Setup asks for Touch ID or a password

HealthMemory opens only on a Mac that locks. If setup shows Set up Touch ID or a password in System Settings, add one in System Settings, then return to HealthMemory.

Setup says HealthMemory isn’t available in your country

For now, you can set up HealthMemory only in the United States. Nothing was set up.

HealthMemory says “Finish setting up this Mac”

Choose Create passkey or Finish setup. Until setup finishes, your 12 words can’t bring your HealthMemory back on another device.

HealthMemory says “A previous Health ID may be on this Mac”

Choose Continue with this Health ID only if it’s yours. Otherwise, choose Start fresh. HealthMemory then stops using the previous Health ID on this Mac. Nothing is deleted.

Start fresh needs Touch ID or your Mac password, and HealthMemory starts fresh only when it can confirm this Mac is fully backed up. Then choose Restart HealthMemory.

If your 12 words belong to a different Health ID than the one on this Mac, HealthMemory asks you to start fresh on this Mac first.

Haven is missing or didn’t pass its check

Part of Haven is missing from this copy of HealthMemory, or has changed since it was built. Reinstall HealthMemory, then try again.

My Genesis ticket isn’t accepted

Paste the whole ticket from your saved file, and check that it hasn’t expired. Start within 12 months of purchase.
